Information we collect

When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. Website infrastructure may also process technical information such as an IP address, device and browser details, requested pages and security logs. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send identity documents, passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential project datasets through the general contact form. We can discuss a suitable channel if more detailed information is needed.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond, discuss potential services or partnerships, keep necessary correspondence records and manage our relationship with you. Technical information supports delivery, security and troubleshooting of the website. Where relevant, processing may be necessary for steps towards an agreement, an existing agreement, compliance with law, or a legitimate business purpose permitted by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Where consent is required, we will request it.

Squarespace provides this website’s hosting and form functionality. Google Workspace supports our business email and communications. Information may be handled by these providers to deliver those services, by authorised envAIros personnel who need it for their work, and by professional advisers or authorities where legally required. Their services may involve processing outside South Africa. Any such transfer must meet applicable POPIA requirements; contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your request.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, relationship, record-keeping purpose or applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the nature and sensitivity of the information and any ongoing matter. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but internet transmission and online storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where appropriate, or object to qualifying processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting prior lawful processing. We may need proportionate verification of your identity before disclosing or changing records.

AquaSight and external links

This notice covers the corporate website, not every processing activity within the separately hosted AquaSight application. Product accounts, project information and assessment records require the relevant product notices and agreed terms. Links labelled staging lead to a test environment: do not enter sensitive or confidential information without an appropriate arrangement. External websites have their own privacy practices.
